WAUKESHA -- A house fire took place at 405 E. Main Street in Waukesha County. All inhabitants of the single family residence safely exited the building before Fire Department officials arrived on the scene.

Officials say they found the fire had originated in the attic and immediately began to extinguish the fire. Due to a well coordinated effort, the fire was quickly brought under control. Estimated property damage is $50,000.

One of the occupants of the house was treated on the scene by paramedics but due to a heat-related issue and did not need to be hospitalized.

The cause of the fire is still to be determined and remains under investigation.
