Farmhouse goes up in flames

TOWN OF WAUKESHA - A farmhouse caught fire near Big Bend Drive and Whispering Hills Court late Sunday afternoon. The home has a lot of sentimental value to the owners.

Several local fire departments were called to battle the blaze.

No one was home at the time, but family members believe it is a total loss.

The home was built in 1930 and it was where the family's grandparents lived.

One fire fighter suffered a minor injury while working to put the fire out.

The fire investigation indicated the blaze started in a small room containing a hot water heater in the basement.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is still investigating.
