Drug house catches fire in Racine

RACINE--Firefighters in Racine responded to a fire at a drug house early Saturday morning.

The fire on Parkview Drive was reported by two men that saw smoke coming from the back of home from a block away.

The men went to the home and knocked on the door and windows to warn nay possible occupants of the fire.

After that they called 911.

When firefighters arrived the saw smoke coming from the second floor apartment.

When they entered they discovered that the apartment was, in fact, a drug house.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire.

A drug lab unit from the Milwaukee area arrived to investigate the scene and remove and take custody of the hazardous materials.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
