Donald Driver's high character off the fieldMILWAUKEE - Donald Driver is retiring after 14 years with the Green Bay Packers. He'll be remembered by fans for his stellar career on the field, but they'll also remember him for his charity and high character off the field. Driver took over a charity softball game in the Fox Cities after Brett Favre retired from the Packers. Driver has also been a spokesman for Goodwill Industries for more than a decade. He was able to overcome poverty as a child to become an NFL star. Many Goodwill clients can relate to Driver's difficulties growing up. That makes him the perfect spokesman for the organization. Driver says he'll continue his charity softball game. He also recently signed a four year extension with Goodwill Industries. |
