MILWAUKEE --- The Medical Examiner's Office confirms the body pulled from the river Thursday night is Nick Wilcox. His body was discovered near Old World Third Street Thursday evening around 6:00 p.m. Two MPD officers were patrolling the riverwalk when they discovered the partially submerged remains.

The Marine Operations Unit pulled the body from the river. Fire units as well as detectives from the Milwaukee Police Department stayed on the scene for well over three hours.

The remains were discovered not far from where the UW-Milwaukee student went missing on New Year's Eve.

The Wilcox family has been scouring the area near Water Street, posting fliers and offering a reward for information on Nick's whereabouts.

CBS 58 has reached out to the Wilcox family, but they have yet to release any kind of statement.
