St. Francis--Instead of a home or church basement, a brew pub is the setting for a local group's deep discussions about religion.

"It's called, What Would Jesus Brew?" said Pastor Tim Singleton, founder of the Greater Milwaukee chapter and pastor of Adoration Lutheran Church in Greenfield.

The beer and bible study is held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the St. Francis Brewery and Restaurant on South Kinnickinnic Avenue in St. Francis.  WWJB uses the website Meetup.com to connect with Christians and Non-Christians, people who enjoy a Stout with their scripture, and non-drinkers as well.

"I was looking for some midweek fellowship and found this site online," said Jim Long, a consultant from Indianapolis, visiting Milwaukee on business.  "And it sounded like a very cool group to be a part of so I'm happy to be here."

Larry Schultz joined the discussion for the first time during a meetup held on May 7th.  "I was looking for a group of interesting people who might share the same values," Schultz told CBS 58's Mike Strehlow.

Pastor Singleton says the brew pub offers a comfortable setting for people to share a beer, food, faith, and fellowship.  "You know often times bars are a place where people drown their troubles, but the troubles are still there.  So this is a way that we can connect in fellowship, connect with the Holy Spirit, and have actual healing rather than just drowning their troubles, we're processing our troubles in our faiths."
