27 arrests made in OWI crackdown

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee Police cracked down on drunk drivers this weekend, resulting in 27 OWI arrests. There were also three crashes involving drunk drivers.

The 27 arrests was an increase from last weekend when 20 OWI arrests were made.

Milwaukee Police used several resources to execute the crackdown including MCSO Patrol Division, MCSO OWI Task Force, and Targeted Enforcement Unit squads.

Police warn these resources will continue to be used out on the streets to minimize the alcohol, speed and aggressive driving incidents on the freeway system.
