Theft of 3 catalytic converters at United Mailing Services in Brookfield took just 2 minutes, police say

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are looking to track down a person who cut off three catalytic converters on three work vans for United Mailing Services located at 3625 N. 126th Street in Brookfield. 

The theft happened Sunday, Feb. 21, at 5 a.m., and police say it only took two minutes. 

According to police, the suspect arrived in a tan or light-colored 2002-2007, Buick Rendezvous and backed in to a parking spot along the fence line on the far west side, turning their lights off and sitting for approximately 20 minutes. 

Police say the driver then exited the vehicle and cut off three catalytic converters on three UMS work vans. 

Brookfield police are investigating two more catalytic converter thefts that happened 1/4 mile away, involving the same vehicle description.
