MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Public Market is more like a festive fairytale for the holidays. Fifteen gingerbread houses are on display, but it goes way beyond a fun setting. There’s a serious competition, and they are also auctioned off to raise money for scholarships at MATC. The themes vary from the elementary to the religious. CBS 58's Michael Schlesinger spoke with one student who actually designed a giant church.
The silent auction runs through Wednesday afternoon. The voting for the best gingerbread house also ends on Wednesday, December 12. Professional judges have already had their say. The awards ceremony will be at 5:30 at the Public Market. Click here for all the details.
