Technical issue sends out UW-Whitewater emergency warning

WHITEWATER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 13 students at UW-Whitewater were alerted to an emergency warning system that said "Run, Hide, Fight." The UW-Whitewater Police said the emergency warning was the result of a technical issue and there was "no threat to the campus community."
The Police Department apologized for any stress the alert may have caused and said they are investigating why it happened.
