Suns hire former Bucks interim coach Joe Prunty as assistant

PHOENIX, Ariz.-- The Phoenix Suns hired former Milwaukee Bucks interim head coach Joe Prunty as a lead assistant Monday. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Prunty, 49, spent four years with Milwaukee as an assistant coach. He replaced fired head coach Jason Kidd midway through the Bucks’ 2017-18 season.

Under Prunty the Bucks were 21-16 in the regular season before falling in the first round the Eastern Conference playoffs to the Boston Celtics.
