Man shot after answering knock at door near 13th and Windlake

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police say a 42-year-old man was shot Sunday morning after answering a knock at the door.

Police say it happened around 5:20 a.m. near S. 13th St. and Windlake Ave. The victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Milwaukee’s south side this Sunday.   Police were called to the area of S 13th Street and W Windlake Avenue where they found a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the stomach.   The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what is described as a non-life threatening wound.   The Police are still investigating the shooting and no one is in custody at this time.
