Strong storms possible Wednesday evening

Although the conditions will be much drier than what we experienced over the weekend, the threat will be present this week, at times, for rain. A slight chance this afternoon along a weak disturbance could kick up a few spotty showers on Tuesday in eastern Wisconsin.

The day to keep an eye on will be Wednesday with a push of Canadian air around a cold front. With daytime heating, enough moisture and instability, the risk of stronger storms will be possible. The timing of the front appears to be later on Wednesday and into Thursday. The main threats with these storms will be hail and gusty winds. The Storm Prediction Center has a “marginal” risk of strong to severe storms on Wednesday with a section of Wisconsin.

Behind the cold front, cooler air will roll in for the rest of the week. Highs will fall back into the 70s.  Slight chances of a shower on Friday will be possible.
