Strong Storms and Flash Flooding Hammer Parts of the Area Overnight

Mother Nature unleashed heavy rain, flash flooding, and big time thunderstorms to portions of southeastern Wisconsin.  Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha Counties have all been under a Flash Flood Warning for much of the morning.  This warning runs until 10:15 Wednesday morning.

The hardest hit locations are the areas around Elkhorn, Burlington, Paddock Lake, and East Troy.  Flooding, standing water, and sinkholes have been reported.  Please, do not EVER drive through standing or rushing water.

More storms during the day on Wednesday are possible.  With the amount of moisture in the atmosphere, watch for more flash flooding, large hail, and even damaging winds.  The Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk of severe weather for all of southeastern Wisconsin.
