Stricker with Furyk and Els for US Open

Steve Stricker will tee off at the U.S. Open next Thursday at 12:36 p.m. The Wisconsin native will be playing alongside Jim Furyk and Ernie Els.
Stricker qualified for the Open earlier this week by shooting a 68 and 65 in a 36-hole sectional qualifying tournament in Memphis, Tennessee.
Stricker has never won a major championship, but he has had success at Shinnecock Hills, the site of this year’s U.S. Open. He finished in 13th at the Southampton course in the 1995 U.S. Open.
Another notable grouping is the trio of Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas. They are set to tee off at 12:47 p.m. on Thursday.
