St. Patrick's Practice Pawty in Waukesha to benefit animals in foster care

St. Patrick's celebrations aren't just for humans.

Saturday, March 7th, Spurs Saloon in Waukesha will host a St. Patrick's Practice Pawty to benefit two groups that provide foster care for dogs; Canine Cupids and Seniors Rock.

There will be all sorts of goodies for sale, food and drink of course but unique raffle and auction items for the Irish or dog enthusiast.

Non stop Irish entertainment and the fellowship of human companionship while helping our furry friends.

\"We don't have a facility. We're not a humane society,\" explained Canine Cupids foster director Jes Berndt. \"So every family we have willing to take in a dog temporarily is an opportunity for us to take an animal out of animal control or a rough situation.\"

The event is organized by Wendy Smith-Ozug of Seniors Rock which cares for older dogs with medical needs.

She began getting into foster animal care after Hurricane Katrina and says it has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience.

\"There's always something you can do to help,\" she told CBS 58 News. \"Even if you can't take a dog in your home, just come out and support the event.\"
