South Milwaukee woman arrested for shoplifting after store employees find empty bag of Tide Pods

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A South Milwaukee woman is facing charges after allegedly shoplifting at a Piggly Wiggly in Union Grove.

Elizabeth Bergman, 38, is facing charges of Retail Theft.

According to the criminal complaint, a Piggly Wiggly employee located an empty Tide Pods bag in the store. A store manager observed the suspect, later identified as Bergman, concealing items on surveillance camera. The footage showed Bergman allegedly stealing lozenges, body wash, detergent, razors, magazines, makeup remover, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, Tide Pods, and three bottles of gin.

Bergman had allegedly stolen from Piggly Wiggly during a prior incident as well.
