Sojourner Family Peace Center opens New Facility

The Sojourner Family Peace Center is expanding and hoping to reach even more women and children than ever before.

Officials showed off the new facility today that will shelter and protect victims of domestic violence.

It includes a shelter with more than 50 beds, living areas and kitchens as well education centers, a sensitive crimes unit and the district attorney's office.

The center's president says her favorite spot is the new children's center.

Sojourner's shelters around the community will be moved into the new building this month.
