Snow and bitterly cold wind chills for Thursday

The first arctic front of the season is coming tonight!  The coldest air of the season will take over southeastern Wisconsin Thursday into Friday.  Temperatures throughout the day will drop into the lower 30s; however, with a strong northwest wind, wind chills will tumble into the single digits and teens by the evening.  The cold won't be the only winter weather concern.

As the cold air spills south, snow showers will be likely for the northern half of our viewing area Thursday morning.  The best chance for snow will occur between 4 am and 8 am.  Notice the best chance for some accumulation will be across Sheboygan, Fond du Lac, Washington, and Ozaukee counties.

The snow accumulation will be well below advisory criteria.  We are expecting a dusting to a half an inch.  Better snowfall accumulation is expected across the northwoods.

There could be slick spots and some visibility issues, so take a little extra time during the commute.
