Six people injured following 4-vehicle crash in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The driver of the pickup truck that started the crash has been identified as 25-year-old Alvin Testroete who was cited for inattentive driving. The driver and two passengers of the pickup were all taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital. 

The drivers of two of the other cars were also cited for driving with a suspended license and driving with a revoked license.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a multi-vehicle crash.

It happened on State Highway 57 at County Road A in the Town of Rhine, in the north-central part of Sheboygan County.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered four vehicles were involved, one being a pickup truck pulling a car-hauling trailer.

According to the Sheriff's Office, there were no life-threatening injuries reported. Six people were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. 

Initial investigation reveals that two passenger vehicles and the pickup truck were all southbound on State Highway 57 and the first vehicle slowed to turn east onto County Road A. The second vehicle also slowed to turn and the operator of the pickup struck the second vehicle from behind, causing it to spin into the northbound State Highway 57 traffic lane and into the path of another vehicle.

The truck then collided into the rear of the first vehicle and the trailer became detached.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.

There is currently no update on the condition of those injured in the crash.
