Serious Motor Vehicle Accident on W. Silver Spring Drive

Speed is suspected to be a factor in a serious motor vehicle accident at W. Fond du Lac Avenue and W. Silver Spring Drive.

Milwaukee Police are investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that happened on Thursday, October 6th, at 2:15 p.m. at W. Fond du Lac Avenue and W. Silver Spring Drive. 

A maroon Chrysler Town and County minivan, driven by an 84-year old Mequon man, was traveling west on Silver Spring Drive making a left turn. 

During the turn, this vehicle was struck by an eastbound black 4-door BMW, driven by a 25-year old Milwaukee man. 

The Mequon man suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. 

The driver of BMW suffered non-life threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

Speed is suspected to be a factor in the crash and the investigation is ongoing.
