Senior center helps restock the South Milwaukee Fire Department's supply of stuffed animals

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Fire Department would like to say a big thank you to their friends at the Milwaukee's Grobschmidt Senior Center for restocking their supply of stuffed animals.

The Milwaukee Fire Department keeps stuffed animals on their ambulances to calm the nerves of children and special needs patients that they encounter on scenes.

The senior center hosted an event on Saturday where all the seniors in attendance had the opportunity to bring a new teddy bear with them to donate.

The South Milwaukee Fire Department has been maintaining a supply of the stuffed animals since the early 1990s.
