Senator Ron Johnson talks school safety, President Trump's tariffs plan

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson discussed school safety along with other topics in an exclusive interview with CBS 58’s Brendan Cullerton.

Senator Johnson said he’s supportive of arming specific teachers.

“Those that are truly trained, past or former military individuals, other that are, you know, very familiar with weapons and would be willing to go through a very strong training course. I have no problem. I think what we need to do is create doubt in the minds of those who may want to perpetrate that,” Johnson said.

Johnson also addressed President Donald Trump’s tariffs plan which is set to go into effect on Friday.
