OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Search efforts for a swimmer who went missing at Harrington Beach State Park have resumed Tuesday, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office. 

Authorities say the swimmer, 34-year-old Ahmad Z. Adl of Franklin has not been found. Twelve agencies including the Coast Guard and DNR searched for ADL for hours on Monday but had to call off the search at dark. 

The Sheriff's Office says five people went into Lake Michigan at Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium to swim. Three swimmers were able to leave the lake with no injuries while a fourth, a Milwaukee woman, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office says the woman, 32-year-old Paige Berndt, died late Monday evening as a result of her injuries. 

The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office says search efforts for Adl will continue throughout Tuesday.

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Search and rescue efforts for the missing swimmer on Lake Michigan in the Town of Belgium have been suspended.

The efforts were called off around 7:45 p.m. Monday due to low visibility and hazardous weather and water conditions.

Weather conditions will be re-evaluated Tuesday morning and search efforts will resume.

OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a man who went missing at Harrington Beach State Park.

The call came in around 1:10 p.m. on Monday. 

According to the Sheriff's Office, it was reported that 5 people entered Lake Michigan to swim. Three of them were able to exit the lake with no injuries.

One person sustained life-threatening injuries. She has been described as a Milwaukee woman in her 30's. She's currently being treated at a local hospital.

A man from the Milwaukee man still remains missing. He is described as a white male in his 30's, wearing blue and orange colored swim trunks.

Current search efforts continue with multiple agencies, including the US Coast Guard, Ozaukee County Rescue Boat, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office Rescue Boat, Flight For Life, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, DNR, Cedarburg/Mequon/Port Dive Teams, and Belgium/Fredonia/Cedar Grove EMS, assisting.

The investigation remains ongoing.
