Ryan Braun Collects Donations at CBS 58 Food Drive

Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun flew into Milwaukee to help at the CBS 58 "Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Drive." This was his third year in a row participating.

“It’s just a special time of year to have an opportunity to give back. Hunger Task Force does an incredible job in the community here. The Brewers Community Foundation as well. I’m happy to be a part of it. Everyone here is contributing to an incredible cause,” Braun told CBS 58 Morning News Anchor Jessica Tighe.

Braun spent about two hours collecting food and monetary donations from community members.

The food drive is an annual partnership between CBS 58, Hunger Task Force, and Brewers Community Foundation. 

Thanks to the community’s generosity, we collected 102,000 pounds of food this year.
