Rollover accident in Sheboygan caused by driver running red light, police say

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A rollover accident in Sheboygan is currently under investigation.

The accident happened around 5:21 p.m. on Tuesday near Washington and Greenwing.

According to police, an eastbound Nissan Maxima ran the red light on Washington at Greenwing and struck a westbound Dodge Journey which was turning south onto Greenwing.

The Dodge rolled over as a result of the collision.

The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Nissan was cited for violating a red traffic light.
