Retzer Nature Center Annual Apple Harvest Festival happening September 22

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Friends of Retzer Nature Center’s Annual Apple Harvest Festival returns for its 32nd year of celebrating Waukesha County’s apple-growing heritage on Saturday, September 22 at Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha. The event is offering an apple market, arts and crafts vendors, a beer garden, live music, and many family-friendly activities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This festival is a great opportunity for residents to welcome fall with fun activities, food, drink, and homemade apple desserts,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow. “The horse-drawn wagon rides and scarecrow displays are always popular with visiting families.”

The Heirloom Apple Market will have 38 apple varieties and fresh apple cider. Visitors can also purchase apple pies, apple crisp, caramel apples, and apple cider ice cream floats. The family-friendly Delafield Brewhaus Beer Garden will be serving food and beverages, including ‘Retzer Apple Ale’ beer. Live folk music from Apple Jam Mt. Dulcimer Band will entertain all ages from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to the apple items, visitors can shop 40 arts and crafts vendors and bid on items at the Friends of Retzer Nature Center’s Silent Auction.

Admission is $5 per car, cash only.
