Rapoport: "AC joint injury" for Cobb

Green Bay -

Randall Cobb's potential nightmare injury is turning out to be not as bad as some may have thought.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports Cobb has been diagnosed with a minor AC joint injury in his shoulder after landing awkwardly attempting to catch a pass from Brett Hundley in the first quarter of the Packers' preseason loss to the Eagles last night at Lambeau Field.

Cobb ruled out the possibility of a broken collarbone Saturday night when speaking with reporters, while Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he wasn't nearly as concerned about Cobb's injury as he was about Jordy Nelson's injury the previous week, which turned out to be a season-ending ACL tear.

The Packers will not address the media again until Tuesday morning. They play the New Orleans Saints in the preseason finale Thursday night.
