Racine Sheriff deputies make arrest in 1997 murder of 14-year-old girl

RACINE—The Racine County Sheriff’s Office announced that it made an arrest in a gruesome murder from 1997.
It was 17-year-ago when police found the body of 14-year-old Amber Creek in a marsh in Racine County.
Investigators said Creek was a runaway from Illinois. She was found sexually assaulted, beaten and strangled with a plastic bag.
Authorities have now arrested a 36-year-old man related to her death.
A press conference will be held Monday and will learn more about how this case was solved.
