Racine Raiders Exhibit, New K-9 Calendar, Local Authors

In just a few weeks, you'll be able check out the rich history of the Racine Raiders football team thanks to a new exhibit. "Racine Raiders: Our Hometown Team" opens at the Racine Heritage Museum on November 1st, 2015. The exhibit will feature historic uniforms, pictures and video of key moments in the team's history. You get a sneak peek of it during this episode of "Racine & Me."

This episode also features the first look at the new K-9 calendar that will benefit three Racine County law enforcement agencies. Officer Nicole Knierim, a K-9 handler with the Mount Pleasant Police Department, came up with the idea. She shows off the calendar and explains how her K-9, Brutus, has helped in the community.

We also put the spotlight on two Racine authors. Rose Lange talks about the process of getting a book published. She also reveals the storyline behind her first romance book, "Gracie's Plan." Then 23-year-old Paige Weslaski explains why you have to go beyond the cover to understand the true meaning of her first book, "Finding Your Prince."
