Racine Police: Toddler injured after running in front of vehicle driving through alley

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A toddler is recovering after being hit by a car in Racine.

Racine Police were called to the 1200 block of Goold around 2:42 p.m. on Friday.

Upon arrival, officers located a 13-month-old boy with injuries to his face.

The investigation revealed that the toddler ran in front of a vehicle driving through the alley.

The child was taken to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries are currently unknown.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this accident, police say.

The investigation remains ongoing.
