Update: Suspect arrested in connection to Racine homicide near 18th and Villa

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection to a homicide investigation in Racine.

Police said a 38-year-old female resident of Racine was taken into custody and charged with first degree intentional homicide.

Authorities identified the victim as 45-year-old Victor Perez of Racine.

The investigation is ongoing.

They say officers were called to the area of 18th and Villa for a report of shots fired.

A deceased person was discovered there. Police have not yet identified the victim.
