Racine police: Victim, suspect identified in fatal shooting near Douglas and High

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities have identified the victim and suspect involved in a shooting near near Douglas Avenue and High Street in Racine on Aug. 8. 

Police revealed the victim is 23-year-old Guillermo Martinez of Racine. 

The suspect, 31-year-old Edward Sanders of Racine, was arrested and is in custody.

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Racine police are investigating a homicide after finding an adult man shot dead near Douglas and High around 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8. 

According to Racine police, officers responded to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a man dead on scene from a gunshot wound. 

Officials say an adult man is currently in custody.

Identities are not being released at this time due to the investigation.
