Jacob Kittilstad revealed how well his homebrew did in competition at the Belle City Brewfest. He also promised revenge against the brewers who triumphed over him.

St. Patrick's Day was about one week away - and with the holiday comes Downtown Racine's annual parade. Organizers say what this event has going for it is its smaller-town charm combined with the fact that people know each other and they're open to making friends. Click here to learn more

One of the group's marching in this year's Parade will be wearing penguin costume...as is tradition. The Shaymus Guinn Foundation honors the life of an 11-year-old Burlington boy by fulfilling one of his dying wishes: providing support and art supplies to other hospitalized children. After the parade the foundation with host their annual "Shaving for Shaymus" event where people raise money for the non-profit by pledging money for shaving body parts. Click here to learn more

Next, a representative from the "Fight to End Exploitation" talked about their goals for 2017. The group - formally known as the Racine Coalition Against Human Trafficking - plans on continuing their mission to educate the public on the signs of human trafficking. The group will also be starting their "I-94 Project" on Memorial Day. They describe it as human trafficking awareness campaign focused on the I-94 corridor from the Illinois border to Milwaukee County. Click here to learn more

And, saving the sweetest for last, the River Bend Nature Center promoted their series of "Sugarin' Off Pancake Breakfast". The meals are scheduled for each Sunday in March and include maple syrup collected and processed right at the nature center. This is peak collection time for Maple Syrup in the region and - after a special taste test - Jacob concurs it's a good time to eat it too. Click here to learn more
