In a special New Year’s Eve morning show, Jacob Kittilstad coordinated a potpourri of items for the show. It started with a meeting with the Racine Green Party – a group that says they’re interested in progressive economic redistribution, environmental health, and the legalization of marijuana in Wisconsin. Party leadership talked about how current drug laws have put a generation of people at an extreme disadvantage – and they talked about their goals to change those laws in 2018. Next, the woman behind “Chics with Chainsaws” in Caledonia talked about her process. She used to be a fine art wood carver but was pulled into chainsaw carving after learning about how in-demand the statues are.  Jacob visited her work area in Racine County and checked out her step-by-step progression examples in-studio. David E. Kirby and His Memphis Cadillacs helped close the show by explaining their upcoming concert honoring Elvis Presley’s birthday. The King would have been 83 this year – and David E. Kirby (like impersonators across the country) are paying tribute to the rock icon. The singer and an accompanying guitarist also gave viewers a simplified peak into what they can expect at the show at the Route 20 music venue. Click here for event information

Guests: Fabi Maldonado – Racine Green Party Co-Chair & Founder, Erik Altieri – Southeastern Wisconsin NORML Executive Director, Sherry Lou Martin – Chics with Chainsaws LLC, David E. Kirby – Elvis Impersonator, Brian Wurch – David E. Kirby & His Memphis Cadillacs Guitarist
