Racine 15-year-old victim of hit and run accident in Mount Pleasant

Flight For Life was called to the scene of a hit and run accident in Mount Pleasant Friday night.   According to the Mount Pleasant Police a 15-year-old male was struck by an unknown vehicle as he was crossing State HWY 31 /South Green Bay Road near Castle Court around 9:20 PM.   The victim was taken to Wheaton Ascension Hospital.  He was then flown to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee with what is described as serious injuries, but he is reported to be in stable condition.

According to the Police report, witness said the vehicle was northbound on Green Bay Road when it stuck the youth.   The witnesses described the vehicle as a “smaller car” but due to the limited lighting could not give a better description.   The investigation into the hit and run accident is continuing and authorities are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call the Mount Pleasant Police at 262-884-0454 or Crime Stoppers at 262-636-9330.
