Quiet today, storms by the 4th

After several severe reports yesterday and excessive heat warnings, the weather pattern turns quiet for early this week. High pressure rolls into the region and gives way to a lot of sunshine on Monday. Daytime temps will be cooler, along with drier conditions, as highs will still get into the low 80s. The temperatures will continue to rise day by day this week. Tuesday will bring in temps in the low to mid 80s.

Scattered showers or a storm could be possibly by Independence Day. It looks like it’s a smaller than on Wednesday than Thursday, where some storms could be severe. Here’s some positive news: it will not be a washout on the 4th. Highs will be hot and muggy with temps approaching 90.

A cold front will swing the temperatures back in the low 80s by week’s end and this weekend.
