Purdue students, faculty traveling to West Bend for Andrew Boldt's funeral

WEST BEND -- Classmates and faculty, friends and loved ones gathered Tuesday to remember Andrew Boldt, a 21-year-old West Bend native who was shot and killed at Purdue University last week.

Boldt was working as a teaching assistant and studying electrical engineering at the school, and was set to graduate this spring.

He graduated from Marquette University High School in Milwaukee.

His funeral and visitation were held at St. Frances Cabrini Church in West Bend.

Father Nathan Reesman told CBS 58 News that it was a time to cry and pray and celebrate the life that was.

Father says that those who knew Andrew in life cannot event begin to understand why he died in the tragic fashion that he did.
