Public forum for interim Milwaukee Police Chief to be held Thursday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee’s Board of Fire and Police Commissioners has announced more information on the public forum for the interim Milwaukee Police Chief.

The forum will be held on Thursday, February 8 at the Mexican Fiesta Headquarters located at 2997 S. 20th Street.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with question registration. The candidates will introduce themselves at 5:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. the candidates will answer registered questions from the community members. The forum will wrap up around 7:30 p.m. with final candidate comments.

Inspector of Police Michael J. Brunson and Police Captain Alfonso Morales are the two finalists for the position after Assistant Chief of Police James Harpole dropped out and announced his retirement Wednesday. Whoever is picked will start February 17. Current MPD Chief Flynn's last day is February 16.
