Police have one in custody after deadly assault on Milwaukee’s south side

A 30-year-old Milwaukee man has died after being assaulted on Milwaukee’s south side.  According to the Milwaukee Police, Eradio Hernandez-Galvez was physically struck by a male suspect early in the morning of July 28.   The assault took place at E Mitchell and S 1^st Streets around 1:30 AM.  According to the Police, Hernandez-Galvez died of his injuries around 10 PM Friday night, more than 20 hours after the assault.   A 42-year-old man suspected of the fatal assault has been located and is under arrest.   The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
