Update: Milwaukee Police respond to Purple Door Ice Cream for report of suspicious package

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department confirms they were called out to the 200 block of Fresh Water Way for a report of a suspicious package.

It happened around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Members from the Hazardous Device Unit responded to the scene to investigate the package.

After a thorough examination, the pack was found to be an everyday item and not suspicious or dangerous.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is currently on scene conducting an investigation at Purple Door Ice Cream.

It happened on Saturday evening at the ice cream shop located at 205 S. 2nd Street.

Police are not saying much about the investigation.
