Pint Glass Giveaway Celebrates 100 Years of Marquette Men’s Basketball

Marquette University’s Basketball Team is celebrating 100 years of playing on the court.

Beginning December 19, pint glasses highlighting the 2016-2017 promotional schedule will be handed out to fans 21-and-older.

After each home game, the first 1,000 fans to claim a voucher when entering the BMO Harris Bradley Center will get a pint glass.

“With this season being a celebration of our 100th year of men’s basketball, we knew we wanted to do some special things to help commemorate our century of excellence,” said Katie Glunt, Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement.

According to the Marquette Men’s Basketball Press Release, “a total of 10 glasses will be available at 10 games for the remainder of the campaign and those looking to complete the set can pick up the other two at the team’s weekly radio show (Thursday nights from 6-7 p.m. at Dave & Busters) or the Centennial Hoop-La event scheduled for June 23 to cap the celebration of the 100th year of men’s basketball at Marquette.”

The Fresno St., Wisconsin and St. John’s games are a chance for 5,000 Marquette fans to get a t-shirt honoring the 100th anniversary.
