Packers Announce Roster Changes

Green Bay Packers have re-signed LB Nick Perry and signed G/T Vince Kowalski. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the signings Friday.

Perry, who was selected by Green Bay in the first round (No. 28 overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of the University of Southern California, has played in 46 games with 16 starts during his four seasons with the Packers and has recorded 130 tackles (84 solo), 12½ sacks, four passes defensed, five forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Perry appeared in 14 games with one start in 2015 and posted 35 tackles (23 solo), 3½ sacks, a pass defensed and a forced fumble. He registered a team-high 3½ sacks in the playoffs, tying the franchise record for a single postseason (LB Clay Matthews in 2010). Perry ranks No. 3 in team playoff history with six career sacks, trailing only Matthews (10) and DE Reggie White (eight).

Kowalski, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound first-year player out of Villanova, originally signed with the Packers as a rookie free agent in June 2015 and was with the team until he was released on Aug. 31. He started all 48 games in his four-year career at Villanova, earning first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors as a senior in 2014.
