Oscar Robertson memorabilia up for auction

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – You have the opportunity to own a piece of Bucks history.

Oscar Robertson’s 1971 NBA Championship Ring is among a number of memorabilia up for auction this month.

It’s part of the Lelands 2018 Invitational Auction. Other Oscar Robertson memorabilia includes game-worn jerseys, his Basketball Hall of Fame ring, Hall of Fame induction trophy, and 11 of his NBA all-star rings.

Organizers of the auction say the response to Robertson’s items has been exciting.

“We have been shocked by the level of interest in the collection, and not just by collectors but also in the media. I think we shouldn't be because you have here one of the top five players of all time as voted on by the NBA all time, that's pretty incredible,” said Joshua Evans, Chairman & Founder of Lelands Auction House.

Each item includes a letter of authenticity signed by Robertson. The auction goes until August 17.
