October Temps End on a Milder Note

October is a transition month in terms of temperatures as we slide through the fall season. The average high on the first of the month is 65, falling to 54 by the month's end.  So far, this month has trended just slightly below average for the city of Milwaukee. That trend is expected to change for the last week of the month.

NOAA's Climate Prediction Center has issued the latest temperature outlook through the end of the month and it suggests most of the nation will fair above normal on temperatures, especially across the Great Lakes.  Here across southeast Wisconsin, there's a 50 percent probability of temperatures reaching levels above the normal highs in the mid 50's.  In fact, First Alert forecasts have temperatures in the 60's starting this Friday and lasting through the rest of the month. The only exception would be next week Tuesday with rain likely across the area.

At this point even Halloween looks to be on the mild side with highs in the mid range 60's. Stay tuned for further updates to this forecast from the First Alert Weather Team.
