Milwaukee (CBS 58) -- Parts of the Summerfest grounds will have a new look in 2018.
Changes are coming to the North Gate. Next year, you can expect to see new turnstiles, a new box office, and a new community plaza that will have a bike park and benches.
Upgrades are also coming to the US Cellular Connection Stage which includes the biggest video screen on the grounds.
Summerfest officials want to take advantage of their prime lakefront view and say the investment is worth it.
"It's something that we feel like is really important to reinvest in that quality so that experience continues. It's what our patrons have come to love about us and we're very excited to present these two new amenities to the public," said Sarah Smith Pancheri, VP of Milwaukee World Festival Inc.
The Historic Third Ward Architectural Review Board unanimously approved plans.
