New Tiger at Racine Zoo, O&H Opens New Location, Smoke Alarm Installation

The Racine Zoo has a tiger again. 10-year-old Anya just went on display to the public on Wednesday, October 7th. Her arrival comes five months after the beloved Tiger, Niki, died at the age of 19. Learn about Anya and the revamped exhibit where you'll find her.

We also get an update on an effort to make sure all families have working smoke detectors. Volunteers with the American Red Cross will be out in Racine neighborhoods on Saturday, October 10th to install smoke detectors and provide fire safety information. One of those volunteers, Neil Jaehnert, explains the goal behind the organization’s “Home Fire Preparedness Campaign” and how many lives it’s already saved.
