President Obama cancels Tuesday's Green Bay event
CHICAGO -- Due to Hurricane Sandy, President Obama's campaign event in Green Bay on Tuesday has been canceled.
The President's campaign says he will remain in Washington, DC to closely monitor the impact of and response to the hurricane. Instead of campaigning in Florida Monday, President Obama is headed back to the White House to monitor Hurricane Sandy. His advisers had considered moving up a noontime event in Orlando and scheduling it for this morning, but that would have made Obama's return to Washington too late for Air Force One to land safely. Washington's airports have already canceled nearly all commercial flights. |
