(CNN) -- An incident aboard a Denver-bound flight landed one person in custody late Friday, authorities said.

Frontier Airlines Flight 601 left Knoxville, Tennessee, about 6 p.m. ET Friday, and safely landed in Denver before it was moved to a remote pad at the airport for screening, the FBI said.

At that point, one passenger was taken into custody, Denver International Airport spokeswoman Laura Coale said. The other passengers were sent to the terminal and interviewed by the FBI.

A bomb squad checked the plane and cleared the scene a few hours later.

Authorities did not release any details about the incident, only describing it as a "potential security threat."

The Frontier flight was an Airbus A319 model capable of holding up to 156 passengers. Airline officials wouldn't say how many people were on the flight, and it's not immediately clear what will happen to the person in custody.

Operations at the Denver airport were not affected.
