Mykonos Gyro & Cafe closing its doors after 24 years

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Mykonos Gyro & Cafe has announced their decision to close. 

After 24 years, the restaurant will have its final day open on December 30th.

They penned a heartfelt goodbye message on Facebook which said in part, "That is a difficult thing to write but saying goodbye to all of you will be even more difficult. This community that has grown through the loyalty of customers like you will always have a special place in our hearts. We are very grateful and blessed for the friendships made here. It has been a privilege serving you all throughout the years."

If you'd like to stop out for their final day, the restaurant is located at 1014 N Van Buren Street in Milwaukee.
